Skiing in Antarctica with Red Raven Guides in partnership with Ice Axe Expeditions is a seamless blend of high-end logistics, world-class guiding, and true expedition travel. Guests embark aboard the Ocean Albatross, using the vessel as a mobile basecamp to access remote glacier systems and untouched peaks along the Antarctic Peninsula. Zodiac shuttles deliver teams from ship to shore, where Red Raven guides manage route planning, group safety, and terrain selection in constantly shifting polar conditions. All gear, meals, and daily operations are coordinated between Red Raven and Ice Axe’s seasoned expedition staff, ensuring smooth transitions from ski objectives to life aboard the ship. The result is a streamlined, professionally managed ski expedition into one of the most remote and inspiring mountain environments on Earth.

    Ushuaia

Ushuaia, known as the “End of the World,” sits at the southern tip of Argentina where the Andes meet the sea. Surrounded by dramatic mountains, glaciers, and the Beagle Channel, it’s a rugged port town and the primary gateway to Patagonia and Antarctica. After a few days of training and final preparations, this is where we will embark on our expedition ship to begin the journey south.
